Flat plan Rational

My front cover consists of a large image of my featuring artist,  a mid close up shot. the colour scheme of my front page is purple and black. The masthead "rock-her" will also follow this colour scheme, this means it would be easy to locate my product on a shelf. My front page also consists of a list of sell lines down the left hand side, this would make the reader believe they were getting value for money by purchasing my magazine. The sell lines are accompanied be page numbers so the reader can locate the articles that would interest them most. The front page also features competitions that the reader would be eligible for by purchasing my magazine. My front cover will also feature freebies such as posters to entice the reader.

My contents page would consist of a list of upcoming gig that the reader may be interested in, it would also include a list of artists featured withing the magazine and accompanying page numbers. The colour scheme would match that of the front cover. Further details of competitions that  the reader would be interested in would be shown at the bottom of the page. the contents page would need to look busy and it would be full of information to interest the reader and make it look as if they are getting value for money. My contents page also consists of a number of images of different artist this would appeal to the reader and attract their attention.

My double page spread would consist of  a large image of the featured artist on the left hand  side as this would be the first thing that gets the readers attention. It would also feature a shot paragraph about their current and up coming performances, the reason why i wouldn't feature a large block of text on the artist is that being a consumer of similar  products and research into similar products have shown that  a reader would become un-interested in the article and not complete reading it all. My double page spread would also feature smaller images of the artist at different gigs, this makes the reader feel as if they are close to the artist. I would also feature quotes form the artist about the gig making the reader feel as if the artist is speaking directly to them. Another key point would be the production process of the artists latest release, shown below the main article.

In conclusion, I feel that my magazine would be successful as there are no similar products that have a female only target audience.I also believe that my magazine would look professional as it would have a similar structure to published magazines on a relating topic.
