Flat plans

I made my flat plans for a target audience of people who are think about coming to QE after leaving school.

The title for my magazine is "thinking about QE" as the contents would include all the information to make the choice of either coming or not coming to the college.

The title colour would be purple as this matches the QE logo and gives a clear instigation to the read what the magazine is about.

Would also use a White background to make the writing stand out with the side colums using the same colour scheme this would hopefully stand out to the reader and make the cover eye catching.

My contents page would follow the same colour scheme as the cover.

It would also have page numbers of the content within my magazine making it easy for  the reader to navigate through the magazine.

Also a list of available subjects listed down the right hand side so the reader knows whats on offer from the college inside the magazine.

•      This cover includes a colour scheme of pink black and red to attract the reader.
• it also has a margin at the left hand side making it look neat and easier to read.

•  This cover had a unique design for the mast head.
• It also includes a margin at either side that aligns the sell lines.
• It also has contrasting colours of black and white to make the text stand out.

• This cover uses mainly black text key words that are picked out in pink within the sell lines.
• It uses a variety of text size to attract the attention of the reader to certain points 
• This cover uses empty space around the image this makes the magazine have a simplistic look
• 

  This contents page is simple and easy to read, making it easier for the reader to locate certain parts of the magazine quickly and easily
• This contents page is full of information about whats included in this magazine making the reader believe they ear getting value for money by purchasing this product.
• This contents page has and irregular layout with overlapping images and text and no clear margin, which may appeal to some readers.

Perliminary exercise

Using DTP an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, feruting a photograph of a student in medium close up plus some appropriately laid out text and a masthead. additionaly you must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to deminstrate your grasp of DTP.
